Schema Manager Onboarding Pre-Requisites
Welcome to Milestone Schema Manager. To ensure the smooth onboarding of your business we have prepared a checklist of items that you need to provide to your Customer Success Manager (CSM). These details help us expedite your onboarding and optimize your experience on Milestone Schema Manager.
The following steps enable Milestone Schema Manager for your website, allowing you to deploy structured data across your website in no time.
Schema Manager Configuration
These configurations help Milestone Schema Manager collect performance data and deploy schema across webpages. Follow the steps for seamless onboarding:
Step 1 - Grant Google Search Console Admin Access to Milestone:
- Google Search Console: Full access for [email protected]

- Google Analytics (Enterprise Clients): Full Access for [email protected]

Step 2 - Implement Milestone Schema Script:
Instructions on Milestone Schema script implementation are provided in the appendix.
Milestone Schema (JS) Script:

- Option 1 – Implement the Milestone Schema (JS) Script via Hardcode in the <head> section of the site. Or via Tag Manager tool on all or specific pages.
- Option 2 - Add Milestone Manager / Admin level access to Google Tag Manager / Adobe Tag Manager / Tealium Milestone to deploy script to the site.

Step 3 - Whitelist Milestone's IP Addresses
Please get in touch with your IT Team or Host Company to assist. Milestone utilizes a proprietary crawler to check for Schema updates and will need the same level of access as your developer team has on Google.

Step 4 – Select URLs for Schema Markup
Selecting URLs
- 200 Indexable Pages
- Top Level Pages
- Top Impressions & Clicks
- Top Revenue or Lead Pages
EXAMPLE: Homepage, Location Pages, Blog Posts with great content/media, Recipe pages, Product Pages, Category Pages, Service or Solution Pages
Note: The Milestone team will help create a list of pages with you if you're unsure which to select.
Once you have provided your Customer Success Manager with the required information the Milestone team will update it to the Milestone Presence Cloud to enable Milestone Schema Manager for your website.
