How to fill Profile Information form (erstwhile PAS) for a profile

If you are reading this article, chances are that this is one of your first experiences on the Milestone Presence Cloud platform. So, welcome aboard!


About Profile Information form

The online Profile Information form is a central repository of all information pertaining to a location of your business. If your business has 5 locations that need to be managed on Presence Cloud, you need to fill the Profile Information form for each of these 5 locations. Filling this form is perhaps the first step towards getting your business setup on Presence Cloud. Once filled, this location data shall be used by the various modules of the platform as well as service teams.

The Profile Information form consists of various sections that can be expanded & collapsed:

The form also consists of certain sections that are industry-specific. The above snapshot is for a client from the hospitality industry and the sections ‘Hotel Information’, ‘Dining Options’ are specific to this industry.


Navigating to the Profile Information form

To navigate to the form, click on Settings on the top right-hand corner of your Presence Cloud dashboard (or any other screen you are on):

The following Business Settings should open for your business. For the business, you shall be able to view a list of profiles, i.e. locations under the ‘ASSIGNED RESOURCES’:

                                                                                                                                                  

Click on the profile whose information you need to fill. If your business has many profiles (location), search for the relevant profile using the filter at (1) and once you have identified the relevant profile, click on it (2):


Filling the Profile Information form

At first glance the form might seem lengthy, but you just need to fill it once to complete the on-boarding process for a location. And the best part – use the ‘Save’ button to save a partially filled form so that you can come back later to complete it.


On average, our clients take roughly 45 minutes to fill this form. So, if you are ready to fill it, pick one of these and go ahead. Cheers!

 

Main Business Information & Client Contact section

This section captures the most critical details of the location of your business - address, phone number, website URL, Inquiry Email address and more. When you receive the request to fill the form, the form would have your website, Industry and a few more basic details pre-filled. Verify the same and proceed to fill the rest of the details.

 

Business Description & Hours section

This section is extremely important if you have subscribed to Local promotions.  It captures your business’s description and hours of operation for syncing with location directories such as Google My Business, Yelp, etc. Therefore, fill the short and long descriptions, hours of operation carefully.

Short Description – enter a short description of the business’s location (max limit – 250 characters)

Long description – more detailed description of the location (recommended length – at least 250 characters)

Business Hours – Enter the hours of operation for the location for each day.

If your business is open for the entire day, select ‘24 hours’ from the drop-down options and ensure that you have chosen 'Open':

If your business is open from say 11 AM to 9 PM, click on the drop-downs to select the corresponding hours:

If your business is open from 9AM to 1:30PM and again from 3PM to 9PM, use the 'Add Hours' option:

If your business is closed on Saturdays, mark it closed:

For special occasions such as Christmas or New Year, you might wish to define special timings for the day. You can do so in advance by using Special Hours:

 

CTA

CTAs or Call to Actions are conversion-focused URLs of your website that you might want to sync with directories that support such custom URLs. Enter the Book Now URL of your website in the CTA section:

Competitive Positioning

This section captures details about your competitive landscape. This information not only helps us set up competitor benchmarking on the platform (if you have subscribed to the Insights or Reviews module), it also helps us build compelling content for your website (if subscribed to website creation) and define various goals for performance tracking.

We recommend that you enter your top 3 competitor details for the specific profile location in the ‘What is your direct competition’.

At the end of the section, please enter your USPs (Unique selling points) that make you stand out against your competition.

 

Your Local Area

Add details about nearby cities and attractions (around your business) in this section. 


Domain

Enter the location’s website domain URL. Also, Select:

Option 1: If Milestone needs to control domains and Name server/DNS

Option 2: If you shall control domain and Milestone shall control DNS

Option 3: If you shall control both domain and DNS

 

Analytics Tracking

This section is specifically utilized to configure Analytics for your website. If you do not have Analytics tracking setup click the following checkbox:

If you have Google Analytics installed on your current site and you want us to implement it for tracking purposes, please share the same with us:

You would also need to provide manager level access to Milestone if the Analytics module needs to be setup. Your CSM will help you with that.

Images & Logos

Please upload all images that you wish to use either on your website or for local promotions on an online shared drive such as Dropbox and share the URL with us:
