Bulk Publish Schema Using Grouped URLs

Overview

After grouping your website’s URLs based on shared templates or layouts, the next step is to apply schema tags efficiently across these grouped pages. Instead of repeating the schema tagging process for each individual page, this method allows you to tag one representative page and then publish the schema across the entire group. This significantly speeds up implementation and reduces manual effort.

This guide walks you through how to apply schema to grouped URLs, validate it, and publish it to all related pages in one go.

Why You Need This Feature

Efficiency at Scale
Tag once and apply schema across dozens or hundreds of grouped URLs—ideal for blogs, product listings, location pages, and other templated content.

Consistency Across Pages
Applying schema from a single source ensures all grouped URLs carry a consistent and accurate data structure, helping search engines understand your content better.

Error Reduction
Built-in validation checks help prevent schema errors before publishing.

Smarter Workflows
Reduces repetitive tasks and lightens the workload for SEO and technical teams.

Step-by-Step: How to Apply Schema to Grouped URLs

Step 1: Identify Grouped URLs

Once the URL discovery is complete, go to the ‘Tag Schema’ tab.
Here, you’ll see a list of all discovered URLs. URLs that are part of a group will be:

Highlighted in blue

Have a count indicator next to them, signifying how many pages are in that group.

Step 2: Begin Tagging Schema

Click on the ‘+’ (Add Schema) button beside any grouped URL.
This takes you to the live page view where you’ll begin tagging schema.

If this is your first time tagging, you’ll see a list titled:
“Choose a Schema type to start with”

Select from commonly used schema types or use the search bar to find the schema most relevant to the page content (e.g., Article, FAQ, Product, Job Posting, etc.).

Step 3: Add Schema Details

After choosing a schema type:

Fill in the required properties and attributes (e.g., name, description, image, etc.).

Use the schema editor to tag content elements directly from the page.

Step 4: Validate Your Schema

Once tagging is complete, click ‘Validate’.

This triggers an automatic check to ensure all required fields are completed and the schema follows proper syntax.

If any errors exist, a validation screen will highlight what needs fixing before publishing.

Step 5: Publish Schema to the Group

If the schema passes validation and you are confident the same structure applies to all grouped pages:

Click ‘Publish to Group’.

This action will push the schema configuration from the tagged page to all other URLs in the group—provided they share the same structure.
