AI Recommendations for Visibility help you improve how and where your brand appears in AI-generated answers by identifying visibility gaps and content opportunities.

How to View Visibility Recommendations

Step 1: Navigate to Visibility. Go to: GEO Intelligence → Visibility.

Step 2: Open AI Recommendations. Click on the AI Recommendations section.

Step 3: Visibility Recommendation Categories

AI Recommendations for Visibility are grouped into four categories:

Competitive Opportunities: Competitive Opportunities identify high-value topics, services, and intents where competitors are currently visible in AI-generated answers, but your brand is either missing or underrepresented.

GEO Intelligence analyzes where competitors appear across AI search engines and surfaces specific content and service gaps you can address to compete more effectively for AI visibility.

These opportunities go beyond generic SEO topics. They are derived from real AI response patterns, showing you exactly where competitors are winning and where you can close the gap.

Competitive Opportunity recommendations help you:

  • Identify topics where competitors are being recommended by AI systems
  • Discover service and location-based gaps you are not covering
  • Prioritize high-impact content based on estimated demand
  • Create content and pages that directly compete for AI inclusion
  • Expand topical authority in areas competitors already dominate

Missing Presence: Missing Presence identifies situations where your brand appears in some AI-generated responses, but is inconsistently represented across key large language models (LLMs) and prompts.

This means your brand may be visible in certain AI answers, but absent in others for similar user intents, reducing overall visibility, trust, and recommendation frequency.

When Missing Presence is detected, GEO Intelligence analyzes where your brand is not appearing and recommends specific content topics and formats to help you achieve more consistent coverage across AI platforms.

These recommendations are designed to help you:

  • Close gaps where your brand is missing in specific AI responses
  • Strengthen topical authority for important locations, services, or offerings
  • Repurpose or expand content so AI systems can more consistently include your brand
  • Improve overall visibility across multiple LLMs for similar intents

Citation Gaps: Citation Gaps identify authoritative third-party sources where your brand is missing or underrepresented, even though those sources significantly influence how AI systems determine trust, credibility, and inclusion in AI-generated answers.

When a Citation Gap is detected, GEO Intelligence highlights high-authority platforms and publications where your brand should be cited but currently is not. These gaps limit your brand’s authority signals and reduce the likelihood that AI systems will reference or recommend your brand.

Citation Gap recommendations are designed to help you:

  • Strengthen brand authority across trusted third-party sources
  • Increase recognition on platforms AI systems rely on for grounding answers
  • Improve inclusion in AI-generated responses
  • Build industry credibility through authoritative mentions and reviews

Performance Gaps (Underperforming Prompts): Performance Gaps identify prompts, topics, and intents where your brand previously appeared, or should be competitive, but is currently underperforming in AI-generated answers.

Unlike Competitive Opportunities (where you are missing entirely), Performance Gaps focus on declining, weak, or suboptimal performance for prompts where your brand has relevance but is losing visibility due to content quality, structure, or authority signals.

When a Performance Gap is detected, GEO Intelligence provides targeted guidance to help you recover and improve visibility by optimizing content and strengthening citation and authority signals.

Performance Gap recommendations help you:

  • Recover lost or declining visibility for important prompts
  • Improve content depth, structure, and alignment with prompt intent
  • Optimize how your content is interpreted and reused by AI systems
  • Strengthen authority through targeted citation building
  • Compete more effectively on high-intent, competitive queries

How to Act on Visibility Recommendations

Step 4: Open a Recommendation. Click on a recommendation to view details.

Step 5: Review Content Ideas

For content-related recommendations, review:

  • Topic
  • Content type (blog, how-to, service page)
  • Estimated volume

Step 6: Review Citation or Performance Gaps. For citation and missing presence recommendations, review:

  • Specific platforms or sources
  • Where your brand is missing
  • Suggested next steps

Taking Action

Step 7: Mark as Done. After taking action:

  • Click Mark as Done
  • The recommendation will show a completed status

Step 8: Dismiss a Recommendation. If not relevant:

  • Click Dismiss
  • The recommendation will be removed from the active list
