OTA Mentions Dashboard
The OTA Mentions dashboard in GEO Intelligence helps hospitality brands understand how their property or brand is appearing in AI-generated responses compared to Online Travel Agencies, or OTAs, such as TripAdvisor, Expedia, Booking.com, Kayak, and Hotels.com.
This dashboard is designed to show whether AI platforms are recommending the hotel’s direct website, mentioning OTAs alongside the brand, or favoring OTAs instead of the hotel’s owned digital presence.
For hospitality customers, this is especially important because AI search can influence where travelers discover, compare, and eventually book a property. The OTA Mentions dashboard helps teams identify where AI visibility is supporting direct bookings and where OTAs may be capturing attention.
Dashboard Summary Cards
The top section of the dashboard provides a quick summary of how often OTAs are appearing in AI responses.
OTA Mention Rate
The OTA Mention Rate shows the percentage of AI responses where at least one OTA was detected.
It also shows the number of AI responses that mentioned an OTA compared to the total number of AI responses analyzed.

OTA Dominated
The OTA Dominated card shows how many AI responses mentioned an OTA while the hotel or brand was not meaningfully present.
This is the highest-risk category because it indicates that the AI response may be directing attention toward an OTA instead of the hotel’s direct website or owned brand presence.

Brand & OTA Co-cited
The Brand & OTA Co-cited card shows how many AI responses mentioned both the hotel or brand and one or more OTAs.
This means the brand is visible, but OTAs are also appearing in the same AI response.

Brand Leading
The Brand Leading card shows how many AI responses did not detect an OTA mention.
This is typically the strongest outcome because the brand is visible without OTA competition in the AI response.

OTAs in Your AI Responses
The OTAs in your AI responses section lists the OTAs most frequently detected in AI responses.
Each OTA is ranked by detection frequency and includes:
- OTA name
- Number of responses where the OTA was detected
- Detection percentage
This section helps teams identify which OTAs most commonly appear in AI-generated answers for the selected property.
For example, if TripAdvisor appears more often than Booking.com or Expedia, that indicates TripAdvisor is being referenced more frequently by AI platforms in relation to the tracked prompts.

How to Use This Section
Use this widget to:
- Identify the OTAs most often appearing in AI answers
- Understand which third-party platforms are competing for AI visibility
- Prioritize content and citation improvements around direct booking value
- Compare OTA visibility across different reporting periods
How OTAs and Brands Are Mentioned Across AI Platforms
This section shows how OTA visibility varies across different AI platforms, such as:
- Claude
- Perplexity
- Gemini
- Google AI Overview
- ChatGPT
Each platform includes a segmented bar that shows how responses are distributed across three categories:
OTA Dominated
Shown in red. This means the OTA is favored while the brand is absent or not leading.
Brand & OTA Co-cited
Shown in orange. This means both the brand and OTA appeared in the response.
Brand Leading
Shown in green. This means no OTA was detected, and the brand is leading without OTA competition.
The percentage shown next to each platform represents the OTA mention rate for that AI platform.

How to Use This Section
Use this widget to identify which AI platforms are more likely to show OTA results. If one platform has a higher OTA mention rate than others, teams can review the prompts, citations, and content signals influencing that platform.
This helps customers understand whether OTA competition is concentrated in a specific AI engine or spread across multiple AI platforms.
OTA Mention Rate Trend
The OTA Mention Rate Trend chart shows how OTA mentions change over time.
This trend helps teams understand whether OTA visibility is increasing, decreasing, or staying stable across the selected date range.

How to Use This Section
Use the trend chart to:
- Track OTA mention changes over time
- Measure whether optimization efforts are reducing OTA dependency
- Identify spikes in OTA mentions
- Compare performance before and after content, schema, or citation updates
If the selected date range contains limited data, the chart may show only one data point.
Prompt-Level CTA
At the bottom of the dashboard, the prompt summary shows how many tracked prompts mentioned an OTA in at least one selected AI platform.

Reviewing OTAs Detected in the Prompts Dashboard
The Prompts dashboard provides a prompt-level view of where OTAs are appearing in AI responses. This view helps users move from the summary metrics in the OTA Mentions dashboard into the exact prompts that are driving OTA visibility.
