Managing Keywords

You can manage the keywords you would like to track on Milestone Insights.

Step 1: Navigate to the ‘Keywords & SERPs’ section of Milestone Insights.

Step 2: Click on ‘Manage Keywords’ at the top right.

Step 3: The ‘Manage Keywords’ section shows you;

Keywords: These are the keywords Milestone Insights is currently providing data.
Group: If you have assigned a keyword to a group, the group name will appear here. These groups are used for easy navigation.
Search Intent: The intent type; Commercial, transactional, etc.
Query Type: If the search was ‘branded’ or ‘non-branded’.
Device Type: The device used during the search (Mobile, Desktop).
Search Engine: The search engine used for search.
Keyword Tracking: If the keyword is being tracked for ‘National’ or ‘Local’ searches.
Location: The location the keyword is being monitored for.
Status: The status of the keyword. Active: This signifies that Milestone Insights is monitoring the keyword. In-Active: This signifies that Milestone Insights is currently not monitoring the keyword.
Action: Allows you to make changes to the keyword details.

You can add new keywords by clicking on ‘Add New’ at the top right. Choose to add the keywords manually or bulk upload them to Milestone Insights.

Add Keywords Manually

Click on ‘Add Keywords Manually’ to add individual keywords to Milestone Insights. Here will need to provide the following details:

Keyword: The keyword you want to track.
Group: The group you want to add this keyword to.
Search Intent: The search intent you want to monitor.
Query Type: The query type you want to monitor for the keyword. (Branded or non-branded).
Keyword Tracking: Whether the keyword should be tracked for national traffic or local traffic.
Location: If the keyword data is for local, you will need to add a location.
Search Engine and Device Types: The search engine you want to track the data for and the device types.
